Description

The Data Engineer II at TD Bank designs, builds, and maintains complex data pipelines, models, and ETL frameworks for large-scale enterprise data platforms. The role involves leading technical design, translating business requirements into robust data solutions, and ensuring data quality, governance, security, and compliance. This position also includes providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, supporting CI/CD deployments, and collaborating with various teams to deliver reliable, production-ready data solutions.

What We're Looking For

Perform data analysis and assess data management requirements for specific Platforms or Journeys.,Maintain expert knowledge of upstream data, including data profiling, quality reporting, and metadata.,Support the acquisition and ingestion of data.,Elicit, analyze, and understand business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions, including data models, ETL and business rules, data life-cycle management, governance, lineage, and metadata.,Develop and maintain complex data models and ETL jobs and frameworks using the Bank's standard tools.,Provide support to development and testing teams to resolve data issues.,Coordinate with technology work teams to ensure overall delivery success.,Support the QA team with data analysis/investigations of complex issues/test cases.,Provide oversight on post-implementation activities during the warranty period.,Execute and approve code check-in/check-out into source code repository.,Lead code version control by tracking branches and lead packaging and deployment (CI & CD) into higher environments.,Raise service-now requests and work with the change management team for release management.,Lead data engineering initiatives and capabilities, and apply data governance principles.,Adhere to standard security coding practices.,Keep current on emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques.,Actively mentor and enable team members by sharing knowledge and leveraging engineering best practices.

Ideal Candidate

Degree, Postgraduate Degree, or Technical Certificate in Data Management or related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.,5+ years of relevant experience.
