Data Engineer (Global Security)
Description
This role focuses on protecting RBC's digital infrastructure through data-driven security strategies. You will design and manage large-scale data pipelines and models to transform complex datasets into actionable business insights, enhancing the bank's cyber resilience across public cloud environments.
What We're Looking For
Design and maintain robust data models on Databricks for efficient reporting.,Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and insight generation.,Utilize Python and PySpark to manipulate large datasets in cloud environments.,Build storytelling visuals and dashboards using Tableau to communicate data narratives.,Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-centric security strategies.,Synthesize and present findings to executive-level management.,Mentor junior team members and promote data literacy.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years of experience in a data analyst, data scientist, or data engineering role.,Emphasis on SQL, data modeling, and narrative-driven data presentations.,Experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks solutions (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake).,Proficiency with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
