The Data Designer II role at TD Bank focuses on providing expert guidance and implementing processes related to data information management. The position involves ensuring data quality, developing data requirements, identifying critical data elements, and collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver effective data solutions. It also includes leading data analysis, investigating data issues, and promoting best practices for data security and governance within the enterprise.

What We're Looking For

Provide expert guidance on data impact assessments and risk mitigation.,Implement processes aligned to data information management standards and ensure data quality.,Develop and maintain knowledge of available data from upstream sources and various platforms.,Identify critical data elements to support data governance frameworks.,Perform data profiling using TD tooling and ad hoc system query languages.,Lead the investigation of root causes for data issues and ensure resolution.,Collaborate with technology and business teams to ensure alignment and guide successful delivery of data solutions.,Facilitate data analysis and investigations for business users and QA teams.,Provide oversight on business impact post-implementation.,Lead or participate in business and technical design reviews.,Raise and manage change requests, supporting release management processes.,Lead initiatives on data governance and data management.,Ensure business metadata and data lineage are well-documented and integrated.,Adhere to and promote best practices for data security.,Document business requirements and technical decisions.,Safeguard the organization's interests and ensure compliance.,Stay current on industry trends, business processes, data tools, and best practices.,Enable cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.,3+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background.,3+ years of data engineering experience, with a strong focus on big data technologies, preferably Azure.,Excellent SQL skills for data querying, data profiling, transformation, analysis including joins, data modeling, aggregations, and performance considerations.,Hands-on experience with the Azure ecosystem: Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Synapse and other related services.,Proficiency in Python and PySpark.,Highly analytical mindset, critical thinking, and problem solving.,Ability to solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple layers of upstream and downstream sources.,Experience in the Insurance Domain would be an asset.
