Lightspeed's Financial Services division is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead and expand its North American data function. The role involves technical leadership, architectural design, mentoring a high-performing data engineering team, and developing scalable data models and infrastructure to provide business insights for improved decision-making, particularly in Financial Services. The manager will also focus on identifying and resolving data issues, collaborating with various stakeholders, and recruiting top talent.
Technical leadership over administration, owning the technical roadmap, architectural design, and complex problem-solving alongside your team.,Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and the semantic layer, ensuring BI architecture supports long-term business growth.,Identify root causes of recurring data issues and implement long-term systemic solutions & improvements across tooling, processes, and upstream data capture.,Lead and guide the team in architectural whiteboarding sessions, help untangle complex problems, and establish best practices for data modeling and overall quality.,Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across functions - Product & Engineering, Risk, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Security to create a clear vision and data strategy.,Support team professional development through 1:1s, performance reviews, feedback, goal setting, and promotions.,Communicate team progress and status to senior leadership and other stakeholders.,Finding and hiring top talent for your team and the wider organization.,Experience leading a team of Data/Analytics Engineers building a scalable Data & BI Platform for critical functions in the company.,Deep technical expertise in data modelling & warehousing architectures.,Expert in SQL and have experience in Python/JavaScript or other programming languages.,Strong skills in stakeholder management - understanding & addressing their needs.,Solid written & verbal communication skills.,Inspirational leadership to hire, mentor and grow the team members.,Strong outcome-driven mindset.
