CSB Credit Specialist II - REITs/CRE Funds/Capital Call Facilities

This role within TD Bank's Personal & Commercial Banking is for a Credit Specialist focusing on REITs, CRE Funds, and Capital Call Facilities. The individual will be responsible for independently managing an existing credit portfolio, underwriting new credits, ensuring portfolio quality and compliance, and supporting new business development. Key activities include performing in-depth credit analysis, preparing credit applications, and adhering to the bank's credit risk policies and regulatory guidelines.

What We're Looking For

Independently manage an existing portfolio and underwrite new credits to public REITs, private CRE funds, and Capital Call Facilities to CRE sponsors.

Ensure quality and compliance within an assigned portfolio.

Support new business development while applying credit risk policy and adhering to TDBG risk appetite.

Perform credit underwriting and credit administration functions.

Work closely with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to ensure consistency with TD Bank Groups Risk Appetite Principles, including establishing Borrower Risk Ratings and Facility Risk Ratings.

Perform in-depth credit analysis for highly diverse and complex portfolios.

Partner with Relationship Manager on potential structure proposals.

Prepare high-quality credit applications for new and existing borrowers (including new transactions, extensions, modifications, renewals, and Annual Reviews), ensuring strong risk assessment, credit structure, due diligence, and adherence to AIRB methodology.

Manage the timely approval, documentation preparation and negotiation, and closing of new and existing transactions.

Operate within applicable regulatory and compliance guidelines/policies & procedures (AML, Privacy, Firewalls, Systems & Information Security, FCAC, etc.).

Ensure the managed portfolio is comprehensively monitored and controlled.

Interpret and apply TD’s risk management strategy.

Remain knowledgeable of relevant industry issues and changing market conditions.

Manage customer relationship aspects including reviewing reports, delinquencies, covenant compliance, and monthly monitoring.

Ideal Candidate

4 year Undergraduate degree; advanced degree in financial discipline preferred, other advanced degree considered.

7+ years' experience in related field.
