Cryovac Operator - Break Relief
Description
This role at Saputo involves the safe and efficient operation of sterile sealed bag filling and packaging equipment within a production environment. Key responsibilities include setting up and changing film, performing routine product quality and seal integrity checks, and ensuring daily production targets are met. The operator is also responsible for setting up coders, identifying and reporting out-of-specification product conditions, performing equipment inspections and adjustments, and safely operating pallet jacks and forklifts. The position requires accurate completion of production records, performing equipment change-overs and clean-ups, and adhering to all occupational health and safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements. Cross-training with other departments and maintaining good housekeeping are also part of the role.
What We're Looking For
Safe and efficient operation of production equipment, including sterile sealed bag filling and packaging equipment.,Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation.,Collect routine product samples and perform routine pouch seal integrity testing.,Set-up and use the appropriate film and film size.,Meet customer order and demand plan on a daily basis.,Set-up coders, ink, and validate product codes.,Identify and immediately communicate out-of-specification product conditions to a Supervisor.,Perform routine equipment inspections and adjustments.,Safe operation of a pallet jack and forklift.,Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents.,Perform equipment change-overs, film size changes, CIP/SIP, clean-up, and equipment set-up.,Perform equipment and area environmental controls.,Perform product reclaim and rework operations.,Support internal and external audits.,Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures.,Follow all established GMP’s and Food Safety requirements.,Cross-train with other departments.,Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.,Comply with federal, state and local dairy food regulations.,Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo Company Values.,Work together with co-workers and other department personnel.
