Consultant, US Operational Risk Management Testing

Description

The Consultant for the US Operational Risk Management (ORM) Testing Team supports and oversees quality assurance for US ORM Programs. This role involves monitoring first-line defense through outcome-based testing, conducting independent risk reviews, and driving process improvements. The consultant provides expert guidance on robust operational risk and control frameworks across people, technology, processes, and external events. Key responsibilities include QA testing, control population assessment, risk reviews of business areas, enhancing team procedures, applying AI for automation and analytics, and designing management reports.

What We're Looking For

Conduct quality assurance testing across US Operational Risk Management Programs (RCSA, CIRA, incident reporting) to validate adherence to methodologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.,Assess control population and control testing results to identify potential control gaps.,Consult and advise on test design and effectiveness, providing recommendations on control test results and control population enhancements.,Lead targeted risk reviews of business areas to identify potential risks and analyze actualized risks to determine root cause and control weaknesses.,Support the development and enhancement of internal US ORM testing team procedures, intake forms, and supplementary guidelines.,Apply advanced AI knowledge to drive efficiency in analytical work, including US ORM QA processes and oversight of first-line defense control activities.,Design and deliver reporting on US ORM QA and control testing results, themes, and observations.,Prepare high-quality workpapers for management and other stakeholders.,Leverage data analytics, scripts, and automated testing tools to enhance testing quality and coverage.,Engage with senior management and other stakeholders to communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations.,Stay current on emerging risks, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices related to controls and technology.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field,Professional certification (e.g., CRISC, CISA) is an asset
