Consultant/ Senior Consultant, Data Analytics - Deal Advisory

This role at KPMG involves working within the Data & Analytics, Deal Advisory team in Toronto. The consultant will focus on applying proprietary and third-party data analytics solutions in a deal environment, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across various transaction stages. The position aims to help clients unlock value from their data to make informed business decisions.

What We're Looking For

Evaluate a business' historical performance, sustainability of earnings/cash flows, financial projections, and opportunities for value creation.

Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data, performing in-depth analysis to generate impactful insights.

Draft detailed professional reports and client deliverables, including Excel schedules, PowerBI dashboards, and results of predictive models.

Develop and support other business units in identifying use cases and increasing the adoption of data & analytics in cross-functional roles (e.g., Valuations, Corporate Finance, Restructuring, Global Infrastructure Project Group).

Utilize KPMG proprietary and third-party data analytics tools to deliver deeper insights.

Develop analytical procedures and templates for broader team capability enhancement.

Establish credibility and build relationships with current and prospective clients.

Ideal Candidate

Post-Secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Business or numerate or analytical disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science.

3+ years of work experience in a related field; experience in professional services and the deal environment an asset.

Strong analytical skills with financial awareness and business acumen.

Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

Committed, able to work independently with minimal supervision and flexible to deal with changing priorities and strict deadlines.
