Consultant, Production Application Support

This role is a key part of CIBC’s innovative technology culture, contributing to the bank’s digital transformation. The Consultant, Production Application Support will join the AESP Team to provide technical expertise for small to medium, complex projects and initiatives related to the implementation and support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi-platform environment. The successful candidate will be involved in analysis, support, troubleshooting, and applying technical expertise to improve services and resolve production problems.

Evaluate service requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes.,Coordinate and/or execute implementation plans.,Identify and resolve small to medium complex production problems.,Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.,Demonstrate critical thinking skills for decision making.,Provide production application support.,Define, implement changes to, and support a production application.

Ideal Candidate

6 years experience in providing production application support.,Experience with Java/J2EE, API, managed Secure File transfer, Feedhub, and Batch scheduling.,Familiarity with CaaS, scripting (shell), Oracle Databases, Autosys and Feedhub, Version Control Software, Agile and DevOps concepts, Middleware (JBoss, Weblogic or Websphere), Jenkins, Github.,Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux RedHat and Unix Solaris operating systems, Basic Network Troubleshooting, Secure File Transfer protocols.,Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
