CAA-Québec is seeking a Legal Advisor passionate about business law to contribute to the organization's success. The role involves providing varied legal support in contractual, commercial, corporate, regulatory, real estate, and insurance domains for the company, its subsidiaries, and its foundation. This full-time hybrid remote position (35 hours per week) in Montreal offers a key role in strategic and operational support for managers, ensuring compliance, risk management, and the development of innovative practices.
Act as legal advisor to the company, its subsidiaries, and its foundation, primarily in commercial, corporate, regulatory, contractual, real estate, and insurance law.,Draft legal opinions in the aforementioned areas and perform regulatory risk analyses for various organizational initiatives, both strategic and operational.,Provide legal assistance in drafting and negotiating contracts and representations between the organization, its subsidiaries, clients, suppliers, contractors, and partners.,Develop and maintain standard contract models for various sectors and activities of the organization.,Analyze, interpret, draft, or revise various contracts, reports, rules, policies, and legal documents.,Advise managers of different business lines and management daily on legal risks and issues arising in the normal course of business.,Monitor legislative and jurisprudential legal affairs to ensure company compliance with applicable laws and support employees in maintaining and evolving best practices.,Raise awareness of legal and ethical aspects in the performance of duties (including organizing and participating in staff training).,Manage mandates entrusted to external resources.,Participate in developing a framework and compliance plan for personal data protection and applicable controls, by assisting process and risk owners.,Support the personal information protection officer by handling related requests, reviewing policies and directives, and participating in regulatory accountability.
Bachelor's Degree in Law and membership in the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires du Québec,Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (in a firm or in-house),Autonomy in carrying out mandates,Leadership in case management,Expertise related to information technology, personal data protection, and insurance (an asset),Good work organization and priority management,Excellent oral and written communication skills,Demonstrates strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and great rigor,Distinguished by ease in interpersonal relationships and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team,Very good ability to resolve complex situations, developed critical thinking, and an analytical mind
