Compliance Officer, Global Control Room

The Compliance Officer, Global Control Room at TD Securities is responsible for assisting in the portfolio management of the department's initiatives and programs. This involves developing project plans for regulatory initiatives, responding to regulatory inquiries and internal audits, managing audit findings, and enhancing quality assurance processes. The role also focuses on identifying opportunities for operational efficiency, updating departmental procedures, and fostering a strong risk and compliance culture across the firm. This position supports consumer regulatory compliance functions, provides guidance on regulatory issues, and ensures adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

What We're Looking For

Work with senior members of the Global Control Room, DDI, technology, and key stakeholders to develop clear deliverables, milestones, and project plans for regulatory initiatives, new GCR deployments, and enhancements.,Respond to regulatory inquiries and internal audit requests, including requests for data and exam inquiries as they relate to Global Control Room.,Track and manage Regulatory and Audit Findings related to Global Control Room to ensure proper and timely addressing with key stakeholders.,Enhance the existing QA process across the GCR to identify themes, emerging risks, process, and escalation enhancements.,Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency across the Global TDS Global Control Room function.,Work with Global Control Room leads to ensure that departmental Global Control Room procedures are updated timely and accurately.,Work with the Compliance leadership team in support of a strong risk & compliance culture within Compliance and across the firm.,Promote a strong governance & control environment with periodic assessments against industry practices.,Work across teams globally to build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.,Support consumer regulatory compliance functions for the Company.,Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a consumer regulatory compliance program.,Ensure own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.,Act as a resource to business units/internal team members providing a range of support, guidance and analysis on regulatory/compliance/technology issues.,Support the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in ensuring the Bank's compliance with all applicable Federal consumer protection laws and regulations.,Oversee/contribute to the direction of TDBG compliance programs.,Assess risks and recommend policy and/or action based on internal and external industry developments.,Work with business unit management/partners to develop proactive strategies, tactics, policies and programs to effectively manage regulatory/compliance issues.,Interpret the impact and advise the business on current and emerging regulatory and compliance issues and industry or market developments.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree required; JD or MBA preferred.,At least 3+ years of overall work experience.,Minimum of 2+ years of relevant banking/finance industry experience.,Familiarity with regulations and compliance strategies and risk management.,Possesses and demonstrates expertise in the Global Control Room, change management, project management and operations.,Experience with complex regulatory remediation efforts.,Experience identifying regulatory risks and issues, and practical solutions to mitigate risk for Compliance Global Control Room.,In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
