Compliance Officer, Compliance & EAML Examination Program (CEEP)

Description

The Compliance Officer role at CIBC is within the Compliance and Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) Examination Program (CEEP) team. This position involves managing and executing Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) examinations globally to assess the effectiveness of processes and controls in adhering to OSFI E-13 and CIBC's RCM Policy. The officer will also support other examination portfolios within the CEEP team as needed.

What We're Looking For

Be aware of and respond to industry changes, acting as a subject matter expert on regulations, best practices, and internal policies.,Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various lines of business to clarify processes, explain regulations, and present examination results.,Lead high-quality, thorough, and timely Regulatory Compliance Management examinations, evaluating adherence to the CIBC RCM policy and identifying areas for improvement.,Establish and maintain positive working relationships with CIBC's LOBs, Governance Groups, Oversight Functions, and Compliance partners to develop effective compliance risk and control processes.,Share knowledge and assist team members with their examinations, helping to implement changes to strengthen the Compliance Testing Program.,Working experience leading examinations/audits or compliance reviews.,Strong understanding of the Regulatory Compliance Management policy.

Ideal Candidate

University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent work experience.,Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the compliance/audit industry.,CPA, CIA, or other relevant designation or certification (asset).
