The Compliance Business Oversight Manager will provide expert advice and support on compliance programs, focusing on consumer regulations, particularly in mortgage originations and home equity products. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure regulatory adherence, manage issues, implement regulatory changes, and perform monitoring activities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to building a robust compliance culture.

What We're Looking For

Advise on regulatory matters and interpret key regulations (RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, UDAAP, Flood, E-Sign, SAFE Act, TILA, State laws applicable to residential secured lending).,Collaborate with sales, underwriting, processing, and capital markets teams to ensure regulatory compliance in processes, initiatives, marketing materials, and job aids.,Engage in issues management, regulatory change management, risk and control assessments, project support, and monitoring activities.,Proactively advise the business of new and changed Compliance regulatory and/or policy changes.,Formulate insights from data analysis and lead on the interpretation of complex business issues.,Contribute to the development and implementation of Compliance programs.,Guide partners through the development, implementation, oversight, and management of effective Compliance Programs.,Prepare summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and other documentation for compliance reporting.,Represent Compliance on internal or external committees.,Deliver relevant subject matter expertise and Compliance advice to business management.,Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level.,Maintain oversight (via review and approval) of all functions and accountabilities related to management reporting and analysis.,Manage high-risk initiatives and escalations.,Assist in developing Compliance Team procedures.,Facilitate periodic Compliance risk and self-assessment activities.,Monitor that assessments are completed and communicated continuously and timely.,Exercise discretion in managing confidential information; escalate issues where appropriate.,Provide review and content in the development of annual awareness training.,Manage the risk assessment process for assigned businesses.,Protect the interests of the organization, customers, and communities; identify and manage risks.,Conduct internal and external research projects; support presentations/communications.,Manage relationships with business lines, corporate, and control functions.,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience,7+ years of experience,Solid background in mortgage originations, home equity experience a plus.,Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.,Ability to confidently challenge practices and provide sound regulatory advice.,Broader understanding of and experience with Consumer Lending Regulations (Preferred).,Deeper Subject Matter Expertise in compliance rather than administrative functions (Preferred).,Experience in a Compliance Oversight role with broad knowledge of Regulatory Compliance related to Consumer Lending (Preferred).,Knowledge/work experience with Home Equity products and with sourcing of applications including sales and marketing, specifically RESPA Section 8 compliance policies and practices (Preferred).,Knowledge/work experience in marketing and advertising – specifically FCRA and TILA requirements and SAFE Act registration requirements for mortgage loan originators (Preferred).,Knowledge/understanding of larger compliance management system and framework beyond technical compliance (Preferred).
