CIBC is looking for an experienced Cloud and Network Security Consultant to join their security team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud and endpoint environments. The consultant will be responsible for cloud security strategy, automation, risk management, compliance, and integrating security solutions, collaborating with various teams to protect digital assets.
Develop, implement, and maintain security strategies for public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) aligned with CIBC’s risk management and compliance.
Design and deploy automated security controls and monitoring for cloud and endpoint environments.
Conduct risk-based assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies for cloud and endpoint solutions.
Build, integrate, and maintain security solutions for cloud and their respective endpoint platforms.
Ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements; manage audits, reporting, and continuous monitoring.
Perform security reviews of infrastructure-as-code, system designs, and technical architectures, providing guidance to engineering teams.
Collaborate with other security and IT teams to integrate cloud and endpoint security with broader security operations.
Support development and delivery of training programs to promote data protection and security awareness.
Design and implement secure cloud architectures for high-velocity business growth and scalability.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security) preferred.
5+ years of experience in cloud security, network security, or related roles.
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated security tools and services.
Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, automation, and cloud networking practices.
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
In-depth understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
Familiarity with network security technologies, SDR, cloud networking, gateways and firewalls.
