The Chief Legal Advisor within the Client Relationship Advisory and Complaints team – Legal Affairs, Capital Markets and Wealth Management acts as a strategic legal partner to business teams. This role involves leading cross-functional projects, managing complex regulatory complaints, advising senior management on legal and regulatory issues, contributing to the evolution of complaint and risk management practices, and identifying emerging legal issues in the securities industry.
Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives related to regulatory complaints, advisory support, and regulatory framework evolution.,Act as a key subject-matter expert.,Play a central role in handling sensitive, complex, or strategic regulatory complaints, guiding decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.,Advise senior management and collaborate with internal partners to ensure an integrated approach to legal, regulatory, financial, or reputational issues.,Contribute to the evolution of practices, processes, tools, and training related to complaint and risk management.,Identify emerging legal and regulatory issues and recommend strategic directions.
Bachelor's degree in Law.,7 to 10 years of relevant experience.,Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec.,Demonstrated experience providing strategic advisory support to senior leaders, managers, or business partners, including proposing innovative solutions on significant issues.,Proven ability to influence key decisions through well-structured legal recommendations tailored to complex or sensitive matters.
