The Quality Control Manager, reporting to the Plant Director, is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling all quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Saputo's policies, while promoting continuous improvement. The quality department supports food quality standards for milk production and bottling processes in a 24/7 production environment.
Develop and implement food safety and monitoring programs to meet corporate and regulatory standards.,Develop and promote a team-based approach for employee development and ensure training of Quality and HACCP team members.,Coach and support the production supervision team in following HACCP procedures and good manufacturing practices.,Plan and lead the monthly food safety meeting with the team and review the 5 pillars of food safety.,Ensure plant quality performance and communicate it to the plant director.,Lead factory audits and ensure follow-up on non-conformities.,Respond to corporate QA requests and customer requests, and develop action plans/corrective measures.,Act as the main contact during visits from CFIA inspectors/external/internal auditors and ensure implementation of resulting procedures.,Investigate, track, and respond to customer complaints and feedback.,Provide technical support to plant management, service groups, and sales regarding process/product improvement through analysis of product composition, quality, and functional capacity.
Bachelor's Degree or DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in food processing.,Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager.,Bilingual English/French.,Excellent analytical skills, effective decision-making, problem-solving ability, strong sense of responsibility, initiative, adaptability to change.,Excellent knowledge of Canadian laws and regulations, HACCP system, BRC, and CFIA inspection programs.
