The technician is also responsible for ensuring quality assurance in the cagewash area. Dump and scrape soiled bedding from caging and prepare caging for cagewash under minimal supervision.,Sanitize caging and related equipment using cage washers, pressure washer, or hand washing as required.,Properly dispose of soiled bedding and waste in specified receptacles.,Clean and sanitize cage preparation and storage areas.,Monitor and record results of cagewash water temperature and cleaning results using provided supplies such as temperature dots/strips, cultures.,Ensure that all logbooks, checklists, and other records are completed in a timely fashion.
High school diploma or GED preferred.,Experience and/or training working with animal husbandry preferred.
