Cagewash Technician

Description

The Cagewash Technician will be part of the Insourcing Solutions team in Cambridge, MA. This role involves cleaning and maintaining laboratory animal caging, related equipment, and preparation areas, as well as general cleaning of animal support areas under supervision. The technician will also assist with animal husbandry duties, including cage changing and feeding.

What We're Looking For

Dump and scrape soiled bedding from caging and prepare caging for cagewash.,Sanitize caging and related equipment using cage washers, pressure washers, or hand washing.,Properly dispose of soiled bedding and waste.,Clean and sanitize cage preparation and storage areas.,Ensure timely completion of all logbooks, checklists, and other records.,Flush all animal racks.,Ensure proper amounts of chemicals are present and report needs to supervisor.,Perform animal husbandry duties including cage changing, feeding, and monitoring watering devices.,Assist with housekeeping duties such as trash collection and cleaning animal facility laboratories, offices, and ancillary areas.,Maintain equipment or report problems to supervisor promptly.,Operate Techniplast washer in accordance with SOP.,Operate and maintain Steris autoclaves.
