Business Solution Architect - Payments and Commercial Banking

Description

This role at CIBC is for a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, responsible for providing expert advice and consultation for business application developments, particularly within the Commercial Banking and Payments technology domains. Key responsibilities include understanding and documenting complex business requirements, designing client-focused solutions, estimating project efforts, and leading and mentoring technology and project professionals. The role also involves influencing technology decisions and resolving complex, organization-wide challenges.

What We're Looking For

Work closely with PMO and business partners for effort estimation, leveraging strong Commercial Banking and Payments technology domain knowledge.

Partner with stakeholders to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions.

Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.

Prepare and validate solution design documents, including scope clarification and quality assurance.

Lead and mentor a diverse team of technology and project professionals, supporting end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert.

Maintain a collaborative work environment and assist team members in resolving organizational, operational, and process problems.

Ideal Candidate

Extensive knowledge of Commercial banking products, services, and industry regulations, including current and emerging industry trends.

Ability to drive stakeholder meetings, understand business requirements, influence business solution strategies, create estimations, and represent Technology for leadership budget approvals.

Comprehensive working knowledge of SDLC processes, with an emphasis on building solutions in Cloud.

Strong experience in a Business Systems Analyst or Business Systems Consultant role, leading projects and designing solutions, with the ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation.

Strong Commercial Banking and Payments technology domain knowledge.

Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills.

Strong abilities in analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise.

Proficiency with Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and exceptional organizational skills.

Experience with Confluence/Jira and working in an Agile environment is an asset.
