The Data, Analysis, and Insight (DAI) group at TD Insurance provides valuable insights and analyses to internal business partners, leveraging actuaries, business intelligence analysts, and data specialists. This role involves exploring data and processes, collaborating with various stakeholders, and delivering strategic priorities through in-depth analyses and reporting to guide decision-making for executive, operational, and actuarial partners.
Apply business knowledge to generate relevant analyses and materials for business goals.
Develop analyses and visualizations to identify business trends and opportunities.
Produce actionable insights and recommend solutions for business problems.
Partner with functional areas to provide daily analytics support.
Accurately and timely execute data requests.
Act as an analytics and insights professional and key resource.
Translate business requirements into analytics and reporting needs.
Contribute to the identification of key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identify opportunities for business/revenue growth and efficiencies.
Investigate data/analytics related issues and ensure accuracy of insights.
Develop analyses to corroborate proof of concept.
Potentially educate/train business users on integrating analytics into decisions.
Provide recommendations on financial/monetization goals.
Build business requirements and facilitate project execution.
Utilize quantitative and qualitative methodologies for effective data presentation.
Stay informed on industry trends, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and manage risks, escalating high-risk activities as necessary.
Conduct internal and external research projects.
May lead small-scale projects/initiatives as a subject matter expert.
Participate in teamwork, knowledge transfer, and continuous personal development.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in General Insurance.
