Business Application Owner

Description

The Business Application Owner will work within the Global Payment and Deposit Solutions (GPDS) team to develop and transform operating models and infrastructure for TD Securities' Payment and Deposit Services. This role involves specialized product development using Agile/Scrum methodologies, focusing on integrating payment and deposit functions across multiple business areas. The successful candidate will interpret business challenges, recommend development opportunities, lead cross-functional projects, and develop new solutions to shape the future of payments for TD.

What We're Looking For

Identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders to design the desired future state target operating model (TOM), providing recommendations based on end-to-end customer experience.,Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders, employing various techniques to elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.,Prioritize requirements based on business stakeholder input and broader roadmap priorities for business outcomes.,Make delivery decisions and assess/mitigate/manage risks.,Manage end-to-end traceability from business goals to business rules and features, epics, user stories, and test cases.,Drive the team to plan and execute regular Business Stakeholder Demos for completed product increments to demonstrate progress and gather feedback, including compiling and sharing of team performance metrics.,Plan for people & process changes, coordinate with impacted stakeholders, and execute change plans (documentation, socialization, communications, training).,Employ Agile, Product Owner mindset, Shift Left testing methodologies and best practices utilizing collaborative tools like Jira, JTMF, and Confluence.,Keep current on emerging trends, tools, and techniques to improve product development and delivery, including Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies.,Contribute to a culture of innovation, actively seeking ways to enhance capability and performance efficiency.,Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners, acting as an ambassador for the business area and the bank.,Effectively engage and update stakeholders, ensuring understanding of project timelines and strategic alignment with senior management.,Influence senior stakeholders and guide team members, managing expectations and collaborating across teams.,Compile and communicate performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.,Convey complex concepts clearly, transforming information into compelling business narratives.,Effectively communicate product changes and backlog priorities to stakeholders.,Utilize critical thinking and conflict resolution skills to address complex challenges.,Recommend best practices for improving products, processes, or services.,Solve intricate problems and develop innovative solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree required,3+ years relevant experience,3+ years in Project Management, Product Owner, Testing Practices, and/or Agile delivery experience,Certifications such as PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are assets.
