Description

The Business Analyst will support the Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) team, specifically the Market Risk Solutions group, by providing expertise in developing and maintaining robust systems and processes for market risk capture and regulatory capital calculations. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization, driving projects, and ensuring the methodological soundness and operational efficiency of market risk processes within CIBC.

What We're Looking For

Provide subject matter expertise in developing solutions for market risk capture.,Build and maintain strong working relationships across CMRM groups and non-CMRM stakeholders (Risk Technology, Front Office, Model Vetting, Finance, Audit).,Ensure market risk processes are methodologically sound and operationally efficient.,Drive projects forward, engage stakeholders, and contribute to strategic market risk initiatives.,Identify and engage relevant stakeholders for market risk initiatives.,Perform thorough analysis, document existing state and required changes.,Propose and build consensus on solutions, define business processes, plan and execute testing, and present results.,Effectively manage a portfolio of Market Risk projects/change requests.,Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of testing, sign-off, and project delivery using Agile & Waterfall frameworks.

Ideal Candidate

Degree in a quantitative field.,Relevant professional designation e.g. FRM (asset).,Solid understanding of Capital Markets products and their pricing principles.,Knowledge of market risk metrics, models (sensitivities/VaR/Stress/Backtesting) and regulations (e.g., FRTB, Basel III CVA).,Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Quantitative field or related role.,Current accreditation and good standing in FRM (asset).
