Epic Games is seeking a Build Programmer for Fortnite to maintain and enhance its world-class CI/CD Pipeline. This role involves optimizing developer, QA, and production workflows, troubleshooting build infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud environments, developing innovative solutions for pipeline efficiency, owning specific tools and processes, and providing on-call support for critical release pipeline issues.
Collaborate with developers, QA, and Production to optimize workflows for the Fortnite Project.
Collaborate with supporting Programmer teams who provide and support the backing Infrastructure for the Fortnite CI/CD Pipeline.
Maintain and troubleshoot the build infrastructure powering the Fortnite CI/CD Pipeline, both on-premise and in the cloud.
Develop creative solution(s) to keep the Fortnite CI/CD Pipeline operating efficiently and effectively.
Own and support various tools and processes owned by the Fortnite Build Programming Team.
Support Fortnite releases via an on-call rotation to handle issues with any critical breaks in the pipeline when on call.
Experience with build systems and pipeline tools for a game or engine.
Previous shipping platform experience (e.g., Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS).
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google).
Experience with revision control (e.g., Perforce, Git, PlasticSCM).
