Build Programmer, Fortnite
Description
This role is for a Build Engineer passionate about Cloud to maintain and improve a world-class CI/CD Pipeline for Fortnite and its developers. The engineer will ensure Fortnite runs effectively on Epic's infrastructure, manage new version releases, and enhance tools and processes across the Fortnite ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
Collaborate with developers, QA, and Production to optimize their respective workflows for the Fortnite Project.,Collaborate with supporting Engineer teams who provide & support the backing Infrastructure that the Fortnite CI/CD Pipeline relies on.,Maintain and troubleshoot the build infrastructure powering the Fortnite CI/CD Pipeline - both on-premise and in the cloud.,Develop creative solution(s) to keep the Fortnite CI/CD Pipeline operating efficiently and effectively.,Own and support various tools and processes owned by the Fortnite Build Engineering Team.,Support Fortnite releases via an on-call rotation to handle issues with any critical breaks in the pipeline when on call.,Experience with build systems and pipeline tools for a game or engine.,Previous shipping platform experience: Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, etc...,Strong communication and collaboration skills.,Experience with C#, batch files, shell scripts, and other scripting languages.,Experience with Cloud Infrastructure; AWS; Azure, Google, etc…,Experience with revision control, Perforce, Git, PlasticSCM, etc…
Ideal Candidate
Experience with build systems, pipeline tools, shipping platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Android, iOS), C#, scripting languages, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google), and revision control (Perforce, Git, PlasticSCM).
