Branch Manager and Advisor Format

Description

This hybrid role at RBC combines responsibilities as a Financial Advisor (40-50% of time) and a Branch Leader (50-75% of time). The position focuses on driving retail performance, achieving business growth, acquiring new clients, and strengthening client relationships. The Branch Manager and Advisor also leads and coaches a team to deliver exceptional client experiences and promotes the adoption of digital banking solutions.

What We're Looking For

Manage a team to enhance client experiences through effective advice and solutions.,Champion digital self-service for clients and provide expert advice.,Lead client engagement both inside and outside the branch with complex advice solutions.,Maintain active community connections to motivate staff and partners.,Strategically manage advisor capacity based on team skills and client flow.,Model and coach RBC's Leadership Model, demonstrating empathy and understanding.,Foster an inclusive environment where team and client uniqueness are valued.,Deliver results and support new client acquisitions through multiple channels, including team efforts and local partners.,Lead change and allocate resources to meet community needs, growing sales, revenue, and market share.,Ensure high employee engagement through recruiting, talent management, development, and career planning.,Inspire, orchestrate, and pioneer superior retailing excellence to deliver a memorable client experience.,Coach team on client advice and education, problem resolution, and advocating for digital enablement and multichannel usage.,Take appropriate actions to close gaps identified through operational, credit effectiveness, and compliance reviews and reports.,Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (IFIC or CSC) with a minimum of 2 years of licensed mutual funds sales experience within the last 3 years.,Completed an acceptable mutual fund branch management exam offered by the CSI, or ability to write an exam within 4 months of start date.,Minimum 3 years in a people management role.,Possess an entrepreneurial business acquisition mindset.,Bilingualism (English and French) required.

Ideal Candidate

Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).,Completed Branch Compliance Officer course or ability to write an exam within 4 months of start date.,Entrepreneurial business acquisition mindset.,Bilingualism in English and French required.,Experience in both business and personal banking (nice-to-have).,Minimum 3 years in a people management role (nice-to-have).,Quebec: Completed Certificate of Achievement in Personal Finance (i.e., Fundamentals of Personal Finance - Quebec, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals - Quebec, Insurance and Retirement - Quebec) (nice-to-have).
