Branch Administrator CIBC Wood Gundy

Description

The Branch Administrator will manage all administrative aspects of Wood Gundy branch operations, including people management for a small support team, fostering a positive work environment, leading and coaching staff, and managing performance. They will also oversee day-to-day branch operations, administration, budget, and expenses, and provide sales support and customer service by assisting with Investment Advisor duties like processing buy/sell orders and ensuring compliance and audit requirements are met.

What We're Looking For

Oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of all support staff.,Manage the hiring process for support staff roles, including obtaining Head Office approval, interviewing, and selecting candidates.,Support Branch Manager in cultivating a performance-oriented culture and developing strong employee relations.,Oversee and manage day-to-day branch operations and administration.,Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and monitor/control branch budget and expenses.,Review and process accounts payable for Branch Manager approval and monitor branch revenue and expenses.,Assist Branch Manager to perform Investment Advisor duties such as taking buy/sell orders of T-Bills, Corporate Paper, Bankers Acceptances, Mutual Funds, stocks and bonds.,Write up trade tickets ensuring accuracy of all particulars pertaining to a trade.,Coordinate and notify brokers of new stock and bond issues, cease trades and halt trading.,Ensure customer service standards and operational procedures are communicated and maintained.

Ideal Candidate

Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID) certification, current accreditation and good standing.,Postsecondary degree/diploma and/or 4 years of relevant experience.,Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced brokerage.,Strong management and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and coach support staff.,Ability to meet the needs of staff in a highly competitive environment.,Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
