Description

The Banking Associate at TD Bank plays a vital role in customer service and financial guidance within a store location. This position involves accurately processing daily banking transactions, providing advice on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. It focuses on building customer trust through educational content, offering consultative support, and proactive recommendations. The associate will also identify opportunities to promote products and services, manage customer relationships through lead management activities, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. The role requires handling multiple tasks, excellent communication, problem-solving, and working independently.

What We're Looking For

Perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions and opening new accounts.,Educate customers on all banking products and services.,Deliver end-to-end advice to customers, building trust and providing consultative support.,Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships.,Understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities for promotion and referral.,Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform.,Service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking.,Connect with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships through lead management activities.,Consistently provide legendary customer service.,Establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening.,Manage wait times and engage in lobby leadership as a first point of contact.,Drive referrals to Store colleagues and partners.,Ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.,Successfully complete all required job-specific and compliance-related training.,Understand, utilize, and follow compliance/risk and control programs.,Ensure ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.,Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to audit, regulator, and compliance requests.,Maintain appropriate records of action plans.,Be knowledgeable of and comply with TD Code of Conduct.,Ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act).,Accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.,Decision and process everyday transactions such as opening/closing accounts, depositing checks, reordering debit cards, or updating addresses.,Apply customer authentication principles, compliance regulations, and due diligence to new account openings and transactions.,Accurately and efficiently perform transactions, manage cash drawers, and balance cash.,Follow policy and procedure for Customer Authentication and act as Dual Control agent when required.,Follow all required open/close procedures.,Contribute to a positive work environment, align to TD Model, Brand and Culture.,Be an active participant in personal performance and development activities.,Act as a brand champion.,Collaborate with team members.,Actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards.,Take ownership of own career and aspirations, seeking diverse feedback.,Positively embrace change.,Adhere and participate in TD's Shared Commitments.,Model quality service at every customer interaction.,Be engaged in advancing and sustaining an inclusive culture.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED,1 year experience working with customers (can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience preferred),Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire,Notary License preferred
