Description

The Banking Associate at TD is a banking professional responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. This role focuses on building and deepening customer relationships by understanding financial needs, identifying opportunities for product promotion, and making appropriate referrals to internal partners. It involves servicing customers on both the teller line and platform, managing customer interactions, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and contributing to a positive team environment.

What We're Looking For

Perform a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions and opening new accounts.

Educate customers on all banking products and services.

Deliver end-to-end advice by building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights.

Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships.

Understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote products/services or refer to appropriate team members.

Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform.

Service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking.

Connect with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships through lead management activities (self-generated leads, partner referrals, campaign leads, customer outreach, appointments).

Consistently provide legendary customer service.

Establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening.

Manage wait times and engage in lobby leadership.

Understand and support the Bank's customer service strategy.

Drive referrals to Store colleagues and partners.

Ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.

Successfully complete all required job specific, compliance-related training.

Understand, utilize, and follow compliance/risk and control programs (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act).

Accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.

Apply customer authentication principles, compliance regulations, and due diligence to new account openings and transactions.

Accurately and efficiently perform transactions as accountable for cash drawers, maintaining cash limits, and balancing.

Act as a Dual Control agent when required.

Contribute to a positive work environment, aligning with TD Model, Brand, and Culture.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED.

1 year experience working with customers (volunteering, education, military experience preferred).

Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred.

Ability to work during operating hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Teller experience preferred.

Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.

Notary License preferred.
