The Banking Associate plays a crucial role in a store location, focusing on delivering TD's brand promise. Responsibilities include accurately processing daily banking transactions and offering advice, educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Perform a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services.
Provide end-to-end advice by building trust, offering consultative support, and proactive insights.
Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships.
Understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities for promotion, education, or referral to appropriate team members.
Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform.
Service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday transactions, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking.
Connect with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships through lead management activities (self-generated, partner referrals, campaigns, customer outreach, appointments).
Consistently provide legendary customer service.
Establish and nurture customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.
Manage wait times for banker meetings.
Engage in lobby leadership, acting as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and orchestrating walk-in traffic.
Understand and support the Bank's customer service strategy.

Drive referrals to store colleagues and partners for complex financial needs.
Ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.

Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to audit, regulator, and compliance requests and findings.

Accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.
Decision and process everyday transactions like opening/closing accounts, depositing/cashing checks, reordering debit cards, or updating addresses.
Apply customer authentication principles, compliance regulations, and due diligence for new account openings and transactions.
Accurately and efficiently perform transactions, accountable for cash drawers including maintaining cash limits and securing/balancing cash drawers/stations.
Follow policy and procedure for Customer Authentication.
Act as a Dual Control agent when required.
Follow all required open/close procedures.

High school diploma or GED.
1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience preferred).
Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred.
Ability to work during operating hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Teller experience preferred.
Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Notary License preferred.
Ability to perform sedentary work, multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, respond quickly to sounds, sit, stand, walk, move safely in confined spaces, lift/carry (under 25 lbs, over 25 lbs), squat, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, reach overhead, reach forward, push, pull, twist (all occasionally).
