Description

The Banking Associate at TD Bank plays a vital role in customer service and financial guidance at a store location. This position involves accurately processing daily banking transactions, providing advice on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial objectives. The role focuses on building customer trust through educational content, consultative support, and proactive insights, while also identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and refer customers to appropriate banking partners. Key responsibilities include managing customer interactions, processing various account-related requests, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

What We're Looking For

Perform a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services.

Deliver end-to-end advice by building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating with insights and recommendations.

Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire, and deepen relationships.

Understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities for promotion, education, and referrals.

Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on both teller line and platform.

Service customers for opening/closing personal deposit accounts, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, and digital banking.

Connect with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships through lead management activities.

Consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products.

Establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening.

Manage wait times and engage in lobby leadership.

Ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures and complete all required job-specific training.

Ensure ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.

Accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.

Apply customer authentication principles, compliance regulations, and due diligence.

Perform transactions and maintain cash drawers accurately and efficiently.

Contribute to a positive work environment and participate in personal performance and development.

Collaborate with team members and actively seek opportunities to improve work delivery.

Adhere to TD's Shared Commitments and model quality service.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED

1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience preferred)

Teller experience preferred

Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire

Notary License preferred
