Description

The Banking Associate role at a TD Bank store location involves processing daily banking transactions, offering advice and educational support on financial products, services, and tools to help customers achieve their financial objectives. This position focuses on building customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and making appropriate referrals to internal experts.

What We're Looking For

Perform a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions and opening new accounts.

Provide advice and educational support on banking products and services.

Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with and deepen customer relationships.

Identify opportunities to promote products, services, or refer customers to appropriate team members.

Accurately complete everyday banking transactions.

Service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, and digital banking.

Connect with customers and provide financial advice through lead management activities.

Consistently provide legendary customer service.

Establish and nurture customer relationships by actively listening to needs and offering solutions.

Manage wait times for Bankers and orchestrate customer traffic.

Understand and support the Bank's customer service strategy.

Drive referrals to Store colleagues and partners for complex financial needs.

Ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.

Successfully complete all required job-specific, compliance-related training.

Understand, utilize, and follow compliance/risk and control programs.

Ensure ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.

Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to all external audit, regulator, and compliance requests.

Maintain appropriate records of action plans.

Be knowledgeable of and comply with TD Code of Conduct.

Ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act).

Accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.

Perform everyday transactions such as opening/closing accounts, depositing/cashing checks, reordering debit cards, or updating addresses.

Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Apply customer authentication principles, compliance regulations, and due diligence to new account openings and transactions.

Accurately and efficiently perform transactions, managing cash drawers, maintaining cash limits, and securing cash.

Follow policy and procedure for Customer Authentication.

Act as Dual Control agent when required.

Follow all required open/close procedures.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED

1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience preferred)

Teller experience preferred

Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire

Notary License preferred
