Description

The Banking Associate at TD Bank in Windham, Maine, plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service. This position involves accurately processing daily banking transactions, providing advice on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals, and building strong customer relationships. Responsibilities also include opening new accounts, educating customers on banking products, and identifying opportunities to deepen relationships through proactive outreach and lead management.

What We're Looking For

Perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services.

Deliver end-to-end advice to customers by building trust with educational content, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights.

Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships, providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers.

Understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote products, services, and/or refer to appropriate team members.

Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform.

Service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking.

Connect with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships through lead management activities, customer outreach, and appointment setting.

Consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products.

Establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs.

Manage wait times and engage in lobby leadership as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and resolution.

Ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures and complete all required job-specific, compliance-related training.

Ensure ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.

Accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.

Accurately and efficiently perform transactions as accountable for cash drawers, maintaining cash limits, and securing cash drawers/stations.

Adhere to and participate in TD's Shared Commitments, modeling quality service at every customer interaction.

Contribute to a positive work environment, participate in personal performance and development activities, and act as a brand champion.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED.

1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience preferred).

Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred.

Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Teller experience preferred.

Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.

Notary License preferred.
