Banking Advisor - East York, Scarborough (Mandarin/Cantonese or Tamil Speaking)

Description

The Banking Advisor position at RBC is a client-focused sales role that requires strong problem-solving skills to assist clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. The role involves acting as an RBC ambassador, delivering advice, and collaborating with partners to help clients achieve their financial goals. Key activities include demonstrating digital banking, onboarding new clients, and referring complex opportunities to specialists.

What We're Looking For

Proactively engage with clients in branches and the community to uncover banking needs, provide advice, and identify sales/referral opportunities,Focus on client education and digital technology to enhance client experience, drive sales, and retain business,Assist clients with a full range of financial transactions upon contact,Actively listen to clients to understand individual needs,Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems,Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners for business opportunities and referrals,Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course) or willingness to obtain during training,Demonstrated passion for client-first approach and success in a target-driven sales environment,Problem-solving and people skills with ability to build strong relationships and proactively connect with clients,Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and hunger for success,Digital literacy across various devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.),Availability to work all open business hours, including extended hours Monday-Saturday until 8:00 PM and Sundays as applicable

Ideal Candidate

Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course) or willingness to obtain,Track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial or service industry (Nice-to-have)

Work Hours

37.5 hours/week, including extended hours Monday through Saturday until 8:00 PM and Sunday as applicable.

Special Commitments

Required to be fully available to work during RBC's retail branch hours of operation, including extended hours Monday through Saturday until 8:00 PM and Sunday as applicable.
