Axeway to APIGEE Migration Lead in TE Project

This role is for a Lead in Axeway to APIGEE Migration, responsible for the entire migration lifecycle from discovery to decommissioning. The lead will manage a development squad and collaborate with various technical teams. What We're Looking For

Define migration blueprint, including capability matrix, policy conversion patterns, exceptions, and modernization opportunities.,Design Apigee organization/environment topology, instances/regions, VPC networking, DNS, routing, and mTLS trust chains.,Determine coexistence approaches (e.g., proxying, header-based routing, canary/blue-green, dual writes) and develop cutover/rollback plans.,Lead security mapping, covering OAuth/OIDC providers, token lifecycles, key rotation, JWKs/JWT, HMAC, and KMS-backed KVMs.,Establish CI/CD standards, including linting, bundle validation, automated tests, and promotion gates, alongside code quality gates and governance.,Develop performance strategies for caching layers, quotas, global versus regional routing, capacity testing, and cost control.,Drive data and analytics migration, encompassing dashboards, custom metrics, and BigQuery pipelines.,Manage stakeholders, provide status reports, handle risks and issues, and coordinate with vendors.,Coach team members and ensure comprehensive documentation and runbooks for operations handover.

Ideal Candidate

Proven hands-on experience with Axway API Gateway and Apigee Hybrid/x/ Edge, with demonstrated migration success.,Strong knowledge of cloud networking, preferably Google Cloud, including Load Balancers (LB), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), private service connect, DNS, certificates, and firewalls.,Expertise in enterprise security concepts: OAuth/OIDC, mTLS, certificate management, and alignment with Web Application Firewalls (WAF)/DDoS protection.,An automation-first mindset, with experience using apigee-maven-plugin, apigeecli, and policy linting.,Demonstrated program leadership skills, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management.,Nice-to-Have: Parallel experience with other API management platforms like MuleSoft, Kong, or Azure API Management.,Nice-to-Have: Experience with regulatory and compliance migrations (PCI/PII).,Nice-to-Have: Knowledge of cost modeling and FinOps for Apigee X.
