Description

This role involves strategic leadership within Commercial Banking for the Lethbridge District. The AVP will coach and inspire a team of Commercial Account Managers and Underwriters, ensuring strong performance in sales, credit, operational risk, monitoring, and control. The position requires a blend of business development expertise, rigorous risk management, operational oversight, and collaborative leadership.

What We're Looking For

Manage and coach a team of account managers, underwriters, and leaders to foster achievement of objectives and skill development.

Optimize sector efficiency, productivity, and profitability through business growth strategies.

Establish strategies with partners to maximize market impact and visibility.

Participate in and manage the execution of the annual business plan for the market.

Build and maintain lasting client relationships through acquisition and retention activities.

Act as a Bank ambassador in the local community and foster key partner relationships.

Ensure adherence to compliance rules and operating procedures.

Stay updated on market developments to ensure competitive product and service offerings.

Proactively identify new ways of working and encourage continuous improvement and tool adoption.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience.

Significant experience with commercial clients, including complex financing structures and risk analysis.

Strong experience in personnel management and sales coaching.

Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan focused on business development and market coverage.

Experience in negotiation.

Ability to maximize the use of sales management tools (dashboards, performance tracking, etc.).

Knowledge of the Private Wealth Management sector is an asset.

Strong ability to influence, lead, and manage priorities effectively.

Autonomy, organizational skills, and change management capabilities.
