Auto Claims Advisor I

Description

TD Insurance seeks an Auto Claims Advisor to support customers throughout the auto accident claims process. This role involves arranging towing, setting up appraisals, explaining coverage, gathering necessary documentation, and reconciling vendor estimates. The advisor will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure fair and timely claim settlements while maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to team objectives. The position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and requires a customer-centric approach.

What We're Looking For

Support customer claims from start to finish: arranging towing, setting up appraisals, and outlining coverage.,Gather, organize, and verify required information and documentation from all available sources to resolve claims.,Reconcile estimates from vendors to ensure appropriate settlements.,Contribute to team productivity objectives by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratio.,Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders, as well as external vendors like Enterprise and repair shops.,Research coverage scenarios and apply this knowledge to customer claim files.,Be available to greet and welcome customers as they arrive at TD Auto Centres.,Apply non-biased and appropriate methods to achieve file resolution, resulting in fair and equitable claim settlement.,Communicate clear claims processing requirements to customers, maintain detailed claims notes, and deliver timely progress updates and responses to inquiries.,Participate as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment.

Ideal Candidate

One or more years of claims adjusting experience preferred (applicants without specific claims experience are welcome if curious about the industry).,Postsecondary education considered an asset.,Candidates actively pursuing their Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and/or other relevant continuing education are preferred.
