The Audit Manager for Capital Markets at CIBC will play a leadership role in complex audits within Capital Markets, ensuring the effectiveness of operational and management controls. This position involves understanding business processes, risks, and controls, as well as developing relationships with business partners. The role operates under a hybrid work model, with 1-3 days on-site.
Identify and understand key business processes, inherent risks, and control environments.,Plan and participate in risk-based audit activities, assessing processes and controls for design and operating effectiveness.,Identify control weaknesses, assess severity, and work with management to develop action plans.,Provide effective and timely communication on risk issues.,Continuously enhance audit guidelines and practices to improve efficiency and audit experience.
In-depth understanding of capital markets business, products, risks, processes, and related controls.,Minimum of 3 years of proven and progressive experience in audit, accounting, or equivalent.,Fundamental understanding of Capital Markets and Global Markets.,Professional designation/certification such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or equivalent is an asset.
