Audit Director, Consumer Banking and Exam Management (US)

Description

The Audit Director, Consumer Banking and Exam Management oversees, plans, and executes audit activities for consumer banking and exam management segments. This role involves providing strategic guidance, independent oversight, and mitigating risks through due diligence and integrity. The director will also provide recommendations to enhance operational performance, ensure adherence to internal and external regulations, and foster process improvements across the bank.

What We're Looking For

Provide people management leadership by hiring, developing, and managing staff.,Design, plan, and execute the Audit Plan for the portfolio.,Contribute to a strong control culture within the broader division.,Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Executive Management and regulators.,Staff the function with appropriately skilled individuals and augment with subject matter experts.,Attract, develop, and retain key talent.,Develop a risk-based Audit Plan and deliver it evenly over the year.,Ensure quality of work meets division standards and identify significant control gaps.,Provide clear, comprehensive, and timely reporting on significant control matters.,Manage financial budget within plan.,Issue new findings and collaborate with business partners on remediation.,Embody the TD Leadership profile: forward-thinking, innovative, supportive, transparent, balanced, with clear communication and a focus on risk-based judgment.,Design, plan, and execute integrated audit plans with peers (e.g., IT Audit, Compliance Audit).,Improve integration with integrated audit teams throughout the audit lifecycle.,Maintain appropriate regulatory line of sight.,Perform resource management.

Ideal Candidate

4-year degree (Bachelor's Degree).,Professional Audit Certification.,Expert knowledge of audit principles and practices, as well as applicable legal and regulatory statutes.,Previous project and audit management/leadership experience.,Employee development skills and experience.,Previous experience developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results.,Proven ability in leveraging deep subject matter expertise to align teams to a central vision.,Strategic planning and process management experience.
