The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Credit, Financial Sponsors, Commercial National Accounts (CNA) at TD Bank leads a team responsible for credit underwriting and execution within the Financial Sponsors Group. This group focuses on providing financing solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Key responsibilities include structuring and negotiating financing proposals, assessing and mitigating credit risk, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and fostering team development through mentoring and coaching. The AVP also contributes to strategic projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and employee experience.

What We're Looking For

Oversee and manage credit underwriting and execution across various industries and operating companies, primarily those owned by private equity investors.,Lead structuring and negotiation of financing proposals, including security, covenants, and pricing, to align with TD’s risk appetite.,Recommend credit to senior management (VP, CNA & CCRM) based on high-quality risk assessment, credit structure, due diligence, and presentation.,Monitor and control the overall portfolio, ensuring adherence to approved guidelines, bank operating policies, and procedures.,Interpret and apply TD’s risk management strategy within the team and implement systems to identify and mitigate operational risk.,Ensure team members understand and comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.,Provide robust mentoring and coaching, focusing on learning and development within the team.,Contribute to projects and initiatives to enhance efficiency, improve employee experience, and update policies/procedures.,Collaborate with the VP Unit leader to ensure the broader success of the unit.,Maintain high professionalism and contribute to a positive work environment facilitating job satisfaction and development.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business.,Other financial designations (e.g., CPA, CBV, CFA) considered an asset.
