Associate, U.S. Credit Risk Review

Description

This role is an exciting opportunity within RBC's Credit Risk Review (CRR) team. The Associate will be responsible for independently evaluating credit risk management practices, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, credit risk ratings, and corporate governance processes, specifically focusing on Wholesale and Wealth Management portfolios in the United States. Key responsibilities include participating in Target Reviews, Continuous Monitoring Reviews, Risk Assessments, and other credit-related projects, as well as collaborating with various stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Participate in the execution of CRR reviews for Wholesale and Wealth Management portfolios.,Evaluate risk rating accuracy, underwriting practices, portfolio management, emerging risks, and compliance with regulatory guidance and RBC policies.,Execute the risk-based annual plan in collaboration with CRR leadership.,Review borrower and portfolio-level credit risk, identify remediation actions, and communicate findings.,Conduct risk assessments of assigned industries/portfolios.,Evaluate and recommend improvements to risk frameworks, governance, and internal processes.,Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper identification, documentation, and resolution of risks.,Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to enhance CRR processes.,Collaborate with credit risk stakeholders across all three lines of defense.

Ideal Candidate

3+ years of experience in wholesale credit in an underwriting, adjudication, credit risk review, audit, consulting, and/or regulatory capacity.,Strong knowledge of capital markets, lending products, and U.S. regulatory guidance.,Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills.,Ability to handle a diverse workload, accept accountability, assume leadership, and demonstrate initiative.
