Description

This role at CIBC involves supporting a Senior Manager & Team Lead in Business Banking, working closely with a Relationship Manager. The core responsibilities include assisting with client origination, relationship management, and portfolio management. The associate will also help with client-specific financing and cash management solutions, perform financial analysis, and understand target industries. The position focuses on supporting business development initiatives to meet growth targets and identifying opportunities to provide financing solutions.

What We're Looking For

Support client origination, relationship, and portfolio management processes.,Assist with client specific financing and cash management solutions.,Perform financial analysis and develop understanding of targeted industries.,Support business development initiatives to meet growth targets.,Identify business opportunities and financing solutions.,Connect with existing and potential clients, including Centres of Influence (COIs), to identify growth opportunities.,Assist with execution of business development initiatives and client functions.,Proactively participate in business development events.,Identify and introduce personal opportunities to Personal Banking and Imperial Service partners.,Assist Relationship Manager in coordinating sales activities.,Identify and analyze business growth opportunities through research.,Assist with financing and cash management proposals and pricing strategies.,Promote and demonstrate digital banking options.,Cover vacant portfolios temporarily as needed.,Exercise appropriate due diligence for credit recommendations and financial transactions.,Follow established bank policies, procedures, guidelines, practices, and required documentation.,Complete all risk activities.

Ideal Candidate

Well-developed knowledge of a full range of credit products/services, lending practices, credit analysis, compliance standards, and ability to read/interpret financial statements.,Well-developed knowledge of sales practices and experience in a professional fast-paced sales and service environment.,Undergraduate degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
