Associate Relationship Manager, Business Banking - Montreal - Bilingual

Description

This role supports client origination, relationship, and portfolio management within Business Banking. The Associate Relationship Manager assists Relationship Managers by coordinating sales activities for both new and existing clients. Key responsibilities include identifying and analyzing business growth opportunities through comprehensive research, assisting with financing and cash management proposals, and developing pricing strategies. The position involves performing financial analysis, understanding targeted industries, and supporting business development initiatives to meet growth targets and identify client-centric financial solutions. It also includes building relationships with Centres of Influence (COIs) to generate referrals and proactively assessing client needs to structure and negotiate credit and cash management arrangements.

What We're Looking For

Assist Relationship Manager in coordinating sales activities for existing and prospective clients.,Identify and analyze business growth opportunities through industry, client, and prospect research.,Assist with financing and cash management proposals and pricing strategies.,Perform financial analysis and develop understanding of targeted industries.,Support business development initiatives with a focus on meeting growth targets and identifying financing solutions.,Build relationships with Centres of Influence (COIs) to generate referrals.,Proactively assess client needs and propose solutions to deliver what matters to clients by structuring, negotiating and documenting credit and cash management arrangements.,Manage and grow a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients (implied).,Understand client needs and identify opportunities to deepen CIBC relationships.,Provide administrative and client support.

Ideal Candidate

Well-developed knowledge of a full range of credit products/services, lending practices, credit analysis, and compliance standards.,Ability to read and interpret financial statements.,Well-developed knowledge of sales practices and experience in a professional, fast-paced sales and service environment.,Experience in commercial or business banking.,Proven business development skills.,Solid understanding of financial statements and account principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis.,Experience managing the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients (relevant for this type of role).,Bilingual (English and French).
