Description

This role involves working alongside a Senior Private Banker to manage and expand a portfolio of cash management, lending, and investment products for CIBC Private Wealth Management. The associate will provide exceptional service to Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients by handling transactional banking needs and introducing them to various partners across the bank. The position focuses on relationship and portfolio management, financial planning and advice, and business development within the High Net Worth (HNW) market.

What We're Looking For

Manage and grow a portfolio of cash management, lending, and investment products and services for CIBC Private Wealth Management.,Provide exceptional service to UHNW Private Banking clients, assisting with transactional banking needs.,Support the Senior Private Banker in introducing clients to various bank partners (e.g., Wealth Strategy, Commercial Banking, Wood Gundy, Private Investment Counsel, Trust, Bank USA).,Contribute to the group's HNW business by building a client portfolio focused on banking, credit, and investment needs.,Perform risk assessment and in-depth financial analysis on potential and existing HNW clients.,Resolve complex credit issues in collaboration with Credit Specialists and Commercial Banking.,Provide specialized services to key HNW markets, including professionals in law, accounting, and medicine, and HNW clients of Wood Gundy.,Review client portfolios holistically to identify opportunities for additional products and services.,Conduct regular client portfolio reviews and introduce new solutions.,Acquire new clients with sophisticated financial needs, influence, or complex global financial requirements.,Identify and develop opportunities to promote CIBC Private Wealth Management within the HNW market.,Represent CIBC on Boards, participate in charitable organizations, and engage in appropriate social networks.,Actively participate in large deal teams for ultra HNW clients, especially through Commercial Banking introductions.,Continuously update knowledge on current events, economic and financial environments, trends, product developments, and legislative changes, communicating relevant updates to clients.,Be involved in the community through business and industry associations to develop a professional network.

Ideal Candidate

Current accreditation and good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID).,Professional Financial Planning Course and continuing education to Certified Financial Planners Designation.,Demonstrated experience in personal financial planning concepts.,Strong knowledge of all banking, investment, and credit products and services.,Financial services experience in private banking, wealth advisory, or brokerage.,Relationship management skills to build strong client relationships and identify opportunities.,Demonstrated success in building and maintaining new client relationships.,Established profile in the local business community.,Knowledge of a diverse marketplace and the needs of local clients.
