Description

This role is within the US Equities team of RBC's Portfolio Advisory Group, focusing on enabling Wealth Management Advisors to deliver investment solutions. The Associate Portfolio Advisor will provide general analytical support to the team and Advisors, managing six Guided Portfolios across various equity investment factors. This position is an entry point for a career in investment management.

What We're Looking For

Create and distribute daily morning call slides and reports for RBC Wealth Management Advisors.,Provide high-quality, proactive, and timely service and advice to Advisors regarding equity securities.,Manage analytical reports and tools for the team and Advisors.,Conduct portfolio reviews for clients upon request.,Take meeting notes for Investment Committee portfolio meetings.,Conduct investment research on companies, sectors, and the broader economy.,Process research, news, reports, and investment publications to form independent investment opinions with risk considerations.,Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, business, or a related field.,Prior financial services industry experience.,Demonstrated interest and curiosity in financial markets and a desire to build an investment management career.,Demonstrated investment knowledge of capital markets and the global economy.,Solid financial analytical skills.,Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Excel.,Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills.,Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.,Strong ability to interact with all levels of staff and maintain relationships.,Series 7, 63 or 66, or ability to obtain within 180 days.

Ideal Candidate

On track to a CFA designation.,Ability to understand the Financial Advisor's business and identify themes and issues impacting their business.,Experience working as part of a geographically diverse team.,Working knowledge of analytical and market research tools including FactSet and Bloomberg.
