Description

The Global Investment Banking (GIB) division at RBC Capital Markets delivers resources and advice to corporate clients, including listed and unlisted corporations, government entities, and private equity. The role involves advising clients on corporate strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, balance sheet optimization, debt and equity restructuring, and capital raising. Coverage bankers provide industry insights and market expertise, while product bankers offer specialist advice on debt and equity capital structuring and transactions.

What We're Looking For

Transaction execution, new business presentations, and meetings.,Developing and reviewing financial models, conducting research, and analyzing data to support senior team members in client advisory.,Providing analytical, due diligence, and transactional support.,Working with VPs and Analysts on pitch books and client materials.,Complying with Firm Policies applicable to business activities.,Proactively identifying and escalating operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, and risks.,Begin developing relationships with client peers/juniors and understanding business opportunities.,3+ years of Investment Banking, Project Finance, or related area experience at the Analyst level.,Developing understanding of all investment banking products including M&A, equity, debt, and convertible securities.,Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting.,Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests.,Ability to take initiative and function well within a team.,Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to create and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.,Must maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct.

Ideal Candidate

BA, BS or similar undergrad degree (Must-have),MBA, MA or MS preferred (Nice-to-have)
