Associate, Investment Banking - Power & Utilities

Description

TD Securities is seeking an experienced Associate to join their Power and Utilities investment banking practice in New York. This role involves providing support for structuring, marketing, and executing deals under the direction of senior team members. The Associate will conduct financial analysis, value companies, perform complex financial and M&A modeling, prepare client presentations and internal memos, assist with negotiations and documentation, and oversee junior colleagues. The position requires maintaining client confidentiality, staying informed on market data and regulatory standards, and demonstrating strong governance and risk management behaviors.

What We're Looking For

Work within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer,Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities,Value private and public companies,Perform complex financial and M&A modeling,Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos,Prepare client presentations,Assist with client negotiations and documentation,Provide structure, transactional and marketing support,Recommend and implement solutions, provide advanced analysis,Develop and maintain contacts with market participants,Provide updates regarding institutional/retail demand and remaining TD liability for equity deals,Work closely with/oversee junior colleagues to ensure accuracy,Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee,Maintain confidentiality of client information,Keep fully informed on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards,Direct, train and develop staff,Demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviors

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics,Prior investment banking experience required,Series 7, 79 and 63
