Associate, Investment Banking - Healthcare

Description

TD Securities is looking for an experienced Associate to join their Healthcare Investment Banking practice in New York. The role involves financial analysis and modeling, team management, preparing client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients within a deal team. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing client financials, industry data, M&A opportunities, valuing companies, preparing proposals and memos, and providing transactional support to senior team members.

What We're Looking For

Work within a deal team under senior direction,Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry/market data, and M&A opportunities,Value private and public companies,Perform complex financial and M&A modeling,Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos,Prepare client presentations,Provide structure, transactional, and marketing support,Recommend and implement solutions, perform advanced analysis,Stay informed on market data, economic information, industry developments, and regulatory standards,Develop and maintain contacts with market participants,Work closely with/oversee junior colleagues for accuracy,Maintain confidentiality of client information,Direct, train, and develop staff,Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors

Ideal Candidate

Strong background in investment banking,Solid quantitative and analytical skills,Ability to think creatively about strategic issues,Exceptional grasp on accounting, valuation, finance, and business strategy,Bachelors’ degree from a leading university,2+ years working in investment banking with significant healthcare transaction experience (public market transactions a plus),Ability to comfortably interact with senior bankers and clients in a professional setting,Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive, able to thrive in a team environment,Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,Strong intellectual curiosity,High levels of ethics, integrity and judgment,Series 79 and 63 licenses
