Description

This role at CIBC Wood Gundy involves engaging in marketing and business development to attract and convert prospects into clients, deploying assets into suitable financial products, servicing clients, and supporting portfolio management through research, analysis, and strategy implementation.

What We're Looking For

Engage in marketing and business development activities to accumulate assets.

Identify, attract, and convert prospects into clients.

Deploy assets into suitable financial products based on client risk/reward tolerances.

Proactively service clients and address investment-related questions.

Support portfolio management through quantitative research and analysis.

Lead third-party manager due diligence and performance monitoring.

Assist in data analysis and implementation of investment strategies.

Build strong client relationships, network, and prospect effectively.

Provide mentorship and leadership within the investment team.

Develop investment plans and written proposals.

Analyze information/trends and apply to client circumstances.

Lead strategic investment decisions on allocated strategies and client engagements.

Focus on high-level portfolio management and business development.

Participate in seminars for clients and prospects.

Ideal Candidate

Current accreditation and good standing as a Registered Representative (RR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID).

Portfolio Manager designation or Associate Portfolio Manager designation is required.

University degree within a related field/Industry related designation.

Portfolio management relevant experience.
