Description

The Associate Financial Advisor will work within the Personal and Business Banking team, focusing on understanding clients' needs and recommending personalized financial solutions to help them achieve their goals. This role involves managing a portfolio of mortgage clients, deepening client relationships, and being flexible with banking center hours and locations. The position requires a full-time, on-site presence.

What We're Looking For

Form a deep understanding of personal and small business clients' needs,Recommend simple, personalized solutions for financial goals,Manage a portfolio of mortgage clients (individually or as part of a team),Deepen client relationships,Flexible to work banking centre hours (evenings and weekends may be included),Flexible to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance,Meet with clients to understand personal and business priorities, advise on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan,Ensure clients' investment, financial and credit related needs are met by providing a comprehensive retail banking offer or by making formal introductions to appropriate colleagues,Engage in marketing and outreach activities,Grow network and deepen existing relationships,Work as one team to connect clients to the right people and opportunities,Create relationships by networking with clients' families and friends to uncover opportunities and refer to appropriate partners,Call existing and potential clients to identify opportunities for future growth and revenue,Engage in community and banking centre events (business development events, client acknowledgement programs, client appreciation day) to enhance CIBC presence and gain market share,Introduce clients to mobile banking applications

Ideal Candidate

2 – 3 years experience in providing financial advice to clients and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations,Current accreditation and good standing in Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada),Meet eligibility requirements for CIRO-MFD licensing,Asset: Current accreditation and good standing in CFSA (Certificate of Financial Services Advice)
