The Associate Director will be an integral member of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Oversight and Reporting Team (RORT). The role involves supporting the Director in managing and executing RCM oversight responsibilities for Wealth Management and Insurance business segments in Canada and the Caribbean. Key responsibilities include ongoing monitoring and reporting of RCM metrics, promoting best practices, and acting as a Centre of Expertise on RCM Enterprise standards within the Compliance function for Wealth Management and Insurance.
Support RCM oversight for Wealth Management and Insurance Canadian lines of business (e.g., RBC DS, RBC DS Global Limited, Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel Inc., RBC Private Counsel (USA) Inc., RBC Royal Trust).,Monitor and report key metrics related to risk assessments, issues management, and monitoring & Testing activities to ensure alignment with risk appetite measures.,Perform quarterly trigger events reviews, regulatory content reviews, and ad hoc self-assessments to ensure compliance with regulations, rules, and guidance by impacted regulated entities.,Provide support and coordination for the RCM program, ensuring best practices and liaising with Compliance colleagues and other functions/1LOD partners for consistent RCM approach.,Manage internal reporting requirements to provide accurate and timely information to senior management, especially regarding RCM.,Offer general support including guidance on Reg development/Assessable Unit Impact, RCM access, ad-hoc information requests, RegComp and CAMLA training, participation in working groups, and ongoing review of RCM database for data integrity.
Post-secondary education in finance, law or equivalent disciplines (Must-have),Direct compliance or risk experience supporting Wealth Management (Must-have),Working knowledge of and previous experience with Compliance Governance, Regulatory Compliance Management/OSFI E-13, and securities/regulatory environment (Must-have),Generalist across multiple compliance subject areas (Must-have),Strong knowledge of industry best practices relating to Compliance (Must-have),Experience and ability to deal with senior leaders (Must-have),Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (Nice-to-have),Canadian Securities Course (Nice-to-have),RCM experience (Nice-to-have)
